What does Vintage Wine, Whiskey and other bottles do if you drink it?

In Book 2 its good for thirst, but that's not an issue in book 1

I'm new with this game but6 here's my guess: either it costs you its sale value (ie, nothing) or it replaces a little used mana like some other games. Haven't used magic at all with my Druidic ranger so I'm not at all sure.


EDIT" doesn't seem to affect mana so I guess it's just a sales item.
