We might have a problem. It looks like the GOG release of Entomorph got the music files mixed up. A lot of areas default to the "Keechda" music track. Even the opening menu plays the techno track instead of the somber vocal track that serves as the game's main theme. I checked the game's files and the music tracks are there, but tracks 12-16 simply aren't playing and track 9 is put in their place.

I hate to be "that guy" and nitpick on what is otherwise an incredibly stable re-release, but the unique soundtrack is a huge part of the appeal for this game, and a quarter of it seems to be glitched.
I noticed the change at the intro screen as well, but since I originally played the game on Mac I figured it might be a difference between the two versions. Have you sent a ticket to support?
Never had to send a ticket before, so I wasn't sure how, but I'll give it a shot.

There are other glitches with the sound. Sometimes the music doesn't loop after the track is finished playing the first time. Other times, sound effects completely cut out. Then again, all these problems were in the CD release, so perhaps they're beyond fixable.

Got to Support, click on Entomorph and it's in the lower right-hand corner.

Have you found a way yet? I'm having the same problem, unfortunately. I've already sent a ticket but I've not yet gotten any response from them.

[Edit: They replied and sent me an e-mail. They said they're currently working on it. I hope it doesn't take too long. It's kind of... I don't know... "irritating" to play this game with the music on mute.]

Has this been corrected yet?

The soundtrack for Entomorph really enhances the experience it would be a shame to leave it with the wrong music playing.

The haven't been any updates to the game files, so I'm guessing not.
Vexing. T_T
I contact GOG Support about this last week and am waiting for a reply.
If someone knows what is the correct order of the tracks maybe we can also manually rename the files in the MUSIC folder.

But for the tracks that stops playing I have no ideas...

edit: oh well my fast reading must be improved, this trick was already tried -_-

I've had a response from GOG support about this problem:

"What I can promise you is that this task is pending on our devs' end, but unfortunately this issue has proven to be tricky (but almost certainly not impossible) to fix, and recent developments have forced us to put this task on hold, and focus on more immediate, high-priority tasks.

While this may not be what you would prefer to hear, I would rather not give you a vague, sugarcoated answer. We are working on this issue, as much as time allows, but it will take some more time. I hope this answer is acceptable, and I apologize for the trouble, and the delay so far."

It's not half-working, actually. It works just fine on my Windows 8.1 PC and my Surface Pro 2, though the latter initially suffered the soundtrack bug, too. My desktop, though, has always run it properly after I fixed the compatibility options, and my Surface Pro 2 hasn't suffered the soundtrack bug since I reinstalled and set the compat. options like I posted in this thread:

www[DOT]gog[DOT]com/forum/entomorph_plague_of_the_darkfall/please_read_memory_access_exception_a_solution_to_t he_crashes

Try it out and if there are more issues, post your OS (Windows-only, please) in the thread and I'll take a look at it on one of my VMs.
