The game seems to run fine, but no amount of tinkering seems to alleviate the problem of my windows taskbar and part of the desktop being visible while playing the game. Is there anyway to get this particular one to run at fullscreen?? Windows 8.1, 1360x760 display. Running it in Windows 95 mode.

AFAIK the game runs only in windowed mode.

Probably a little late for you, but I think I had the same problem with Heroes of Might and Magic 2, and what solved the problem was this: http://www.gog.com/forum/heroes_of_might_and_magic_series/heroes_of_might_and_magic_2_gold_windows_version_available_as_an_extra_please_read/post29

If anyone can test it (I don't have this game), let me know if it works.

I have solved this issue in my gog copy. Go to mm8.ini file in MM8 main folder. Change "BorderlessFullscreen" from 1 to 0
