I just defeated the giant mutalid (King) and after the storyteller says, "With a mighty blow, Squire Warrick felled the brutal king. Our hero sensed that victory was in the grasp of his mighty clawzzzz." I can no longer move the avatar. The game seems to function mostly normally, but I cannot cast spells, use items, or move. Saving, loading, and opening the spell/items menu is all in working order, but I can't go anywhere. This is frustrating as all get out this far into the game.

If I recall correctly, this same bug (hehe) happened back on the original disc copy. I actually remember that being an issue both here and in the nectar refinery or whatever that place is...the storyteller would come on, do his bit, and then the player controls wouldn't respond anymore. And this is on a Win 3.1 machine that was upgraded to Windows 95, with a whopping 32MB of ram.

Only solution I ever found was to skip the storyteller's nonsense, and even that didn't work all the time. It was usually a hit-and-miss kind of thing where you just had to keep loading from a nearby save and triggering the scene, hoping it wouldn't glitch on that try.
