Hi all

Back in the days of yore, when I owned the original releases of these titles. There used to be a specific way to install and patch, so that you could merge EEAH & EECH. Well that was a long time ago and these days I can't remember whhich socks I'm wearing without a quick check, so there's zero chance of my remembering what the correct install procedure was.

Any chance someone could help me out? (Not with the socks.) Or has GOG worked its magic on these and simply installing both will do the job. (Note: I hope that nostalgia isn't getting the best of me and that these are still great to play.)

No idea what the "official" way is supposed to be, but I did it like this:
- Install EEAH (default directory c:\gog games\Apache vs Havoc)
- Launch EEAH once (it runs some first-time graphics conversion)
- Install EECH (c:\gog games\Comanche vs Hokum)
- From the EEAH directory, copy the 'aphavoc' into the EECH directory so that it's alongside the 'cohokum' directory
- From the EEAH directory, copy the 'common' directory into the EECH directory (merging with the existing 'common' directory) - this will copy the EEAH campaigns over
Now when you launch EECH, it should say 'Apache Havoc: Installed' on the top right of the splash screen.

You should now be able to play the Cuban etc. campaigns inside EECH.

I tried this and it's true you can see and run the EEAH Cuban campaigns from within EECH. The problem is that as soon as you try to accept an AH-64D mission you get a game hang.

Has anyone got around this?

I too had both games back in the day. The original installer put them both in a Razorworks directory so you had the aphavoc directory sitting alongside the cohokum directory with a shared common directory as you say.

I have both GOG games working perfectly though I had to use dgVoodoo, but no matter what I do I can't launch an AH-64D mission from within EECH.

I even removed the aphavoc directory hoping it would just give me the default heli layout for the AH-64D - which is what you get when you select a Blackhawk or Kiowa Warrior or even an AH-64A - but no matter what I do I always get a game hang when I accept an AH-64D mission
