I just began trying to play Comanche vs Hokum. The program seems to start OK. However, whether I choose free flight, skirmish, or campaign I continually get a pop-up error reading "Error setting render target: DDERR_INVALIDPARAMS" after selecting an operations location. After choosing the ops location, there is no START option, only a CANCEL option. The program sets without activity. I access Task Manager, switch to Com vs Hokum, and the error message dialog box appears while Com vs Hokum shuts itself down.

Any ideas on what might be happening and how I might resolve it?

My OS is XP Pro SP3, 4G Ram, highest grade video card the system will tolerate.
