I just bought EECH, and, after a bit of wrestling with the settings, I got it to run on my Win7zx64 laptop with VistaSP2 compatibility setting, it even gives me 1366x768 graphics.
Discovering the Allmods 1.13 patch, I d/l that & installed - and it all went wrong... It found the installation directory, and unpacked everything, but when I tried starting it up, at first it said I was missing a dll file - OpenAL32.dll - which I found in another game directory & dropped into the EECH directory. Then it got as far as attempting to open the main menu screen, before crashing out, telling me something about being unable to allocate memory 0, there only seems to be 12382383423 memory free (I have no idea what the number was, it was long, I have 2Gb RAM).
Should the 1.13 patch work with the GOG version? Should it work on Win7x64? Should I stick with the basic GOG version?Never mind, I found it elsewhere - had to download & install OpenAL.
Never mind, I found the answer elsewhere. I had to install OpenAL. I couldn't reply to the post, I had to edit it...
