I keep running into problems of recyclers setting mostly idle with plenty of scrap. What makes the scrap to move to them? Same with taylors and such.
Ouch. Pretty bad the when game maker doesn't have an answer about their own product.
Yeah, they were very active on discord during early access so you could try that, but they should check this forum to be fair.
Anyway, do you have any free workers available? I haven't played a while so I forget what they are called exactly. But the people not assigned to any profession. Also, if the scrap is really far away from a warehouse and/or the warehouse is really far away from the recycler, it will take a long time.

Hey,
normally, free settlers, logisticians or ones that have no work at their workplae, will relocate resources through your settlement. Your recyclers will go and grab resources they need by themselves from a storage building, that has the specific resource in storage. So, you'll need to place your buldings efficiently.

Hey Skoddy,

What's with a chain of storage houses, say: one near the scrapyard, one near the recyclers and one in the middle? Would this work out?

Would be a good addition to the game to show who's working there (when I click/highlight a storage building). Same for the settlement center.

Best,

Hey,
I guess it could work as long as you allow or deny the specific resources in each storage building.
There are no "assigned" workers to a storage building, more like people in general will transfer the resources.

What about a priority system for goods? Take Bugbyte's "Space Haven" as an example. They have storage facilities where you can set rules like "bring product A here", "empty this storage of product B" or "don't accept product C". And they don't have a specific "logistics job", just like you :-) I did attach a screenshot of their solution.

Best wishes,

I can forward this suggestion, but can't promise you anything.
