I guess a pretty basic question, how do I get out? I have a key, not sure where it goes.

If its the room with the golden orb/machine thingy
Insert key into the statue to the left of it. A few stones will rise from the puddle, which you can then use to continue onto the ledge above...

I've already gotten past that temple, I'm stuck in the next one. I think I got the temples mixed up.
