You got more then 1 core on your CPU and you get stuttering/skipping, and your frustrated and don't know what to do?
Well here is a quick fix that could fix that for you :)
Download RunFirst from http://www.activeplus.com/us/freeware/RunFirst
Copy the exe to c:\
If your shortcut target is
"C:\Program Files (x86)\GOG.com\Enclave\Enclave.exe"
then it could be edited like this
C:\RunFirst.exe "C:\Program Files (x86)\GOG.com\Enclave\Enclave.exe"
No more stuttering/skipping
What it does?
Sets CPU affinity to the first core.

No good for me, but I don't have a true multi-core processor, just a hyper-threading one. Using RunFirst actually made things worse; instead of just stuttering sound, the game locked up as soon as the stutter began and I had to end-task the game to get out of it. The only reliable solution I have found for the stuttering problem is to reduce the sound hardware acceleration to "Basic", but that's really only an option for the Windows XP users (Vista and higher don't actually have that functionality).

Yeah it only works on true multi cores.
You can disable hyper-threading in the BIOS.

RunFirst does work with HT processors, I've had to use it before to fix issues like this in other games, it just doesn't work for this particular problem. Turning off HT in Bios is really not a good option. I'd either have to deal with the whole hassle of "reboot into BIOS, turn off HT, play the game, reboot into BIOS again, turn on HT" or I turn it off permanently and take a serious system-wide performance hit, just to play one game. The hardware acceleration change is not only easier to deal with, it really doesn't affect anything else, even if I forget to switch it back to the default "full" setting.

I Tried doing a CMD shortcut to set a cpu affinity but couldnt get it to work correctly and i dont like to have to mess around just to play a game with alt tabbing and what nots.

I can't get this to work, when I try it says "the operation could not be completed Access is denied". Running Win 7 64 bit, any ideas?

Edit: Nevermind, figured out how to do it, but it doesn't fix the "speed up when moving mouse" problem.
