tinyE: I tried all of these and nothing seemed to work. It's not a big deal because I was planning on playing throught the Light first anyway but now I'm worried about doing that and then losing my save and having to go all the way back just to play the Dark. Any more suggestions? Could I be doing the 'options change' wrong? I thought I did it correctly but I'm not so bright with some of this stuff. :P
Just did a fresh install and tried the options.cfg fix. Worked fine here, I've included some slightly more in depth instructions:

-Open options.cfg using a text editor such as notepad. (This file is found in your main Enclave directory)
-If you see the line "CAMPAIGN_DARKCAMPAIGNUNLOCKED=0", change it to "CAMPAIGN_DARKCAMPAIGNUNLOCKED=1" and save. Otherwise, add "CAMPAIGN_DARKCAMPAIGNUNLOCKED=1" (without quotes) to the end of the document and save.
-The Dark Campaign is now selectable when you start a new game!

I could have sworn that is EXACTLY what I did earlier. This time however it worked. :D I did switch to Administrator which I usually only do if the game won't start period, which wasn't the case here. Either way, thanks a bunch, sorry I can only offer up the meager +1 for you.

Funny thing is, I'm off to go play the light side first just as intended. :P

Amran: I can also confirm that the PC retail edition has both campaigns unlocked from the beginning, but I haven't checked the newer releases.

As mentioned above, you should be able to enter the profile name 'IAMEVIL', to unlock the dark campaign from the start as well. If for some reason that doesn't work, you can try opening the 'options.cfg' in your main Enclave directory using a text editor, and either changing/adding the following line:
CAMPAIGN_DARKCAMPAIGNUNLOCKED=1
/
That's the ticket!

Nope, my GOG PC version does not allow Dark selection first time out.

I have Enclave gold 2010 edition (pc dvd) from topware interactive itself, which also includes jagged alliance 2 wildfire . Bought it then at a now defunct game store (dutch store called dimension plus, which filled in for bankruptcy few years later)
When i started to play the game i remember that i could only select the light campaign and not the other one.
However, i hadn't tried the "iamevil" profile trick or edit the config file then. Will try if this works with the 2010 edition as well.
