Sgt_Breakdown: I fixed it! haha prob should of tried this before even asking this question but I have the game to run in compatability mode (windows xp) as well as administrative mode. Game runs just like its supposed to now! I tried this today though and I installed the game so maybe just restarting the computer might help as well?
Been so long since I've played this I thought I was one of the only people that have ever heard of this game. Looks fantastic for such an old game :-O
I found the Compatibilty mode and I have Windows XP. From the Mode drop down list, which Windows Version should I select?
madcartoonist: I have only played the first two levels so this may just seem to work, but for me going to the video settings and changing "sync to refresh" to off stopped the slowness. I tried the xp compatibility, running in administrative, and changing the game to only run with one cpu but none of those fixes seems to work (although the changing it to run with one CPU did seem to work the first time I did it, but only the first). So currently I have the sync turned off and I everything else is just running as normal (no compatibility mode). Oh, and I am playing the game on a 64bit version of Windows 7.
THAT fixed it! Turning that sync setting off worked perfectly!
Thank yo thank you thanlk you!
