It's been a while since the dev posted an update. Last response was on December 24 2020. It's now January 5 2022 and it's quiet now. That's not a good sign. Could the dev respond here and clarify what is going on or does someone knows about the dev. Would like to know if this still is a thing or that it has been abandoned.

Wondered the same, they seem to be posting updates on their site every few months though and included a mention about the steam deck in the latest one.
