My empire could be launched on windows 10 but can't be launched on windows 11. Have you an idea of the issue ?

Go to your system display zoom set to 100%, then it will work for some reason. Worked for me finally! Hope it helps!!!

TheCoderNamedBridget on youtube has a video showing how to do it, and they deserve all the credit for this fix.

I STILL cannot get it to work, despite doing everything mentioned on this forum. What a let down

Hello,
if you want to play Empires: Dawn of the Modern World at 2K , 4K or 8K with anti anti-aliasing and anisotropic, follow these steps :

1 - download wide screen fix and apply it.
2- set text scale from display setting to 100% otherwise the cursor may freeze.
3- open the game and select 1920 * 1080 resolution or lower, then close the game.
4- download dgVoodoo2 software and apply the wanted resolution, and the anti-aliasing and anisotropic ( if you want ) and don't forget to to max the graphic setting in the game options.

Here's what you need to do:

-Right click on "Empires.exe" and click on "Properties"
-Click on the "Compatibility" tab
-At the bottom, click on "Change settings for all users"
-Select "Run this program in compatibility mode for WINDOWS XP SERVICE PACK 3"
-Select "Run this program as an administrator"
-Click on "Change high DPI settings" and then select "Override high DPI scaling behavior" and choose "System (Enhanced)" from the list.

From there, click on OK then APPLY (important!) then launch Empires.exe !
Don't forget to go in the game settings and put good graphics and sounds!

Your game might not start the next time you launch it, so you just need to re-do the method I described. Even if everything appears to be selected, just un-select and re-select and it'll start !
