again, this time with EMPIRE EARTH II. I try to go on GameRanger... Try to join a room. It says installations are incompatible. I cant patch because it says it already is that version or newer. So WHAT do i need? CD key?
By the game saying incompatible installation it makes it sound like the game was a cracked one.

It doesn't *have to* be an inherently cracked game, you know...
Think about it. The original game required the CD to run, GOG's version doesn't. Why? Because the staff removed the CD-check, thus, if you like, cracked the game themselves. This may lead to it being incompatible with versions requiring the CD.
However, GameRanger is advertised to be a super-duper service, so I don't think it would let such problems arise, which means I don't think it's really an issue between CD-dependant and GOG versions. You should check with the tech staff of either GOG or GameRanger.
well to start off, i've contacted GOG for both of my games.
