Just tried installing Empire Earth 2 onto my new PC & found that the menu window is oversized for my 1360x768 monitor. What's more, I cannot change the resolution within the game since when I try to move down to click "Accept", my mouse cursor passes out of the game window.

Does anyone know how to adjust the game's resolution outside of the game?

It's because Empire Earth II is incompatible with Windows 8+.

You can install Unofficial Patch 1.5 for all screen resolutions support: http://www.ee2.eu/t1723-ee2-1.5 and a lot of crash fixes.

Greetings.

Thanks very much for the help. Weird that the game's incompatible with Win8. Kind of throws GOG's promise of OS compatibility into question. Also odd given that, if I recall correctly, EE1 works just fine.
You're welcome.

From what I see on: https://www.gog.com/game/empire_earth_2_gold
"Works on: Windows (XP, Vista, 7)".

I don't have the Gog.com version, but did they enable the windowed mode by default? (not full screen, but can you see the close/minimize buttons?) If yes, then that's a very bad move, because EE2 loses a lot of performance when it's running in the windowed mode.
But anyway, Unofficial Patch fixes it, so no problem :)
