i try to start EE in no compitabilit mode and with xp vista me and 98 non work
i get into 1 second of the intro movie and i get and error wrom windows it need to be closed
i got windows 7 64 pro
anyone know how to fix this?

Turn on XP compatibility mode but also tick the boxes for "disable visual themes", "Disable Desktop Composition and "Run this program as an administrator" make sure those are all turned on. See if that works.

Are you on a netbook ? If you are, it looks like it's a no go.

nope i'm not on a netbook
windows xp mode does not work eather
edit: if windows xp is correct the file low-level enigine.dll made the critical error that make EE stop

I just tried my retail, CD versions of this, and they don't work either - on Win 7 32-bit.
Anyone running on Win 7 at all?

It won't work( i posted already) with XP. GOG's version is buggy. i'v tried everything and I still get the same error.

might be worth mentioning that the game runs best at 1024 x 768 resolution - any other resolutions are likely to be buggy. using an older monitor fixed all the problems for me, so use one that can support 4:3 ratio's like 1280 x 1024.
disable UAC, run as administrator, reinstalling could help as well.

I was just playing my boxed copy of this on windows 7 64bit home without any problems at all. A few things to note is mine is just vanilla Empire Earth and I was playing it unpatched. I will try patching it to the latest version and check that, it still won't be the same as gog but I'll report back if that works as that might help narrow down the problem.
I was running it with xp sp3 compatibility mode and run as administrator compatibility settings and was also able to play in 1680x1050 resolution.

i have tried all i have tried virtualbox and xp mode for true xp enviroment but stil now working
edit: i have not tried wine in linux :p yet
