i dont understand how nobody have even talked about this issue how can i increase game speed in the campaign i mean i could do it in EE1 AND EXPANSION and in EE2 but cant do it in the EE 2 expansion its the same buttom but nothing happens when i span the equals key i changed it to+ still nothing the gameplay is to fkn slow and am starting to get mad cuz NOBODY in this world has ever talked about it cuz i cant find a question on this exact subject pls help mee FUUUCK

This question was asked before on the Support Chat, so you're not the first one wondering about it. Unfortunately people prefer direct contact forms instead of forums, so information weren't available by research.

It's confirmed that the "Lock Game Speed" option is enabled for all EE2: AOS campaigns. Those campaigns are somehow compiled to DLL and it's impossible to edit them in any way (for example by editing the .ies script).

I was trying to unlock it before by editing campaigns files with HEX editor. Unfortunately, the game generates "chunk file" / checksum to prevent modifications like this. It means, that any byte change will trigger "file is corrupt" message when attempting to load the campaign.

That's why, I think it seems to be simply impossible to get it working on EE2: AOS :(

The problem you posted was fixed in Unofficial Patch 1.5 February 2021 update: https://ee2.eu/patch/changes/#158006

— New feature: Maximization Helper has an option named: "Unlock Game Speed Change hotkeys in scenarios":
* Unlocks the game speed change hotkeys (by default - and +) in games where option "Lock Game Speed" was checked, or Campaign Missions / Custom Scenarios where game speed is locked by default, with no possibility to unlock.
* To prevent abuses, this option is grayed out when you're in a Multiplayer game.
* Changing the status of this option has an immediate effect (no game restart is required).
