im running windows 10. ive done all teh configs to windows 7, 8 etc, running as admin.

All it shows is the banner for EE then that closes and nothing happens. It does this for EE1 and AOC... some help would be great

i can verify mine is working . i have not done any changes yet ..im on an acer nitro 5 with win 10 ..my resolution is off a bit right now but ee1 is running

we need to bring this game back ..

aoe4 has barely any units and only 4 ages ..its very dull imho

I can confirm it happens as OP describes. It launches banner and then Logo-Intro Movie then just black window and stops/

I reset ALL Settings to default which makes resolution 800x600 16 bit (strange default!) but it brings main music back

And then you open and it closes after the banner and intro and before main menu. Yes does it for both EE and AOC.

I saw AOE4 and was never fan of it like if you are dog or cat person, that kind of choice. I love the so many units and epochs EE brings and because I never continued to EE2 or later, EE is my most fave historical game!

But I also want to play it on Android. I found a way.. well almost. Using Exagear, but it crashes with a Wine runtime error right after the Banner-Logo-Intro Movie, I wonder if this on PC where it doesnt start is related problem for both platforms?

On PC it works for AOC but many times it does not launch specially for EE

Yeah im trying to run this on win 8.1 and it gets to the video then crashes. hopefully somebody knows how to fix this?

Try going on Reddit and looking on the Empire Earth subreddit. I found, like, a patch there? Or maybe a replacement? I think it's called Empire Earth Reborn - was the only way I could get my copy to work, but it worked. I had the same crash on start up you described. It's unstable, but playable if you remember to save frequently.

I couldn't agree more with your assessment of AoE4!!! That was the absolute worst of the AoE series!!! EE really took the AoE theme and put it on steroids. I've just bought all of the EE series just now and am going to try to install it all tonight. I'm crossing my fingers and hoping it will run. I have MISSED this game more than any other. Best game of its kind that I ever played and easily in the top 5 of best games of all time for me.

Same for me, EE is my favorite PC game, I just downloaded it and am having the same problems. I open it and it crashes almost immediately. I've tried changing compatibility to windows 8 and 7, backing the graphics down etc. no luck so far. If anyone has had luck with it please let me know.
