Im having the "incompatible installation" error issue that it preventing me from joining multiplayer games on empire earth 2. I sent an email to support, and about 2 weeks later i finally get a response saying "I am sorry that you have to wait so long. Here are your serial keys - please extract file into your game directory and run correct versions." I am not a complete noob when it comes to computers but im also no expert in anyway so im not exactly sure what this means. Through winrar i tried extracting the files attatched to his email to the empire earth folder in the program files. I wasnt entirely sure what he meant by "game directory".
Anyway, whatever i did didnt make any changes so i guess i did something wrong. I sent them back another email but am not countin on getting another response for atleast a week. Anybody out there kind enough to walk me through the process of what i have to do to extract the cd key files to the right folder?

Do you have the CD keys with you and can see them?
If so, you can try the regedit method. go to start menu, run, and then type in regedit and click on the + plus button on the Local machine option, scroll down and click on the + button next to sierra. then click on the registry entry for Empire earth 2, look for the option that says CDkey and then enter your new key.
