Whenever i start the game the AI can instantly build buildings etc. and i dont even have enough materials. also my resources fill up in slow motion, seems to be a bug.

It is much worse than that. The AI can build things without resources at all... yep, total cheat. This means some types of random maps and some play styles do not work.
Oh, they gather some resources but that is only for looks.

you have to create a random maps trought the editor and disable the ai cheat..
