The Hyperion and Nova creators might post here, but any work they do is not officially part of EFS. I think the creators also have their own web sites

There is a "lite" version of Hyperion located here:

https://github.com/Matt-Caspermeyer/Hyperion

This will also contain the full version when it becomes available - hopefully by the end of 2022...

Is the Lite version actually complete? That GitHub doesn't have official releases to download.

I'll say that it is as complete as it's going to be - you can just download the ZIP from the code tab and get it and put it in the MOD folder and enable mods to use.

I've been working on the Full Version and I'm hoping to have something by the end of February. I've also been working on the V1.51 release of EFS and that has been taking most of my time lately.

Let me know if you have any more questions!

I've been working on the Full Version and I'm hoping to have something by the end of February. I've also been working on the V1.51 release of EFS and that has been taking most of my time lately.

Thanks! I'm mainly interested in the balance/gameplay changes, so the Lite version is ideal.

Hi, Nova2.4 is release and compatible with EFS 1.51. Go to either the below GOG forum post, or the linked Discord channel for info.

Just saw your post.
I downloaded the zip, extracted Hyperion-main into the MOD folder - EoFS doesn't load (loading bar goes up and then suddenly disappears). Copied the Hyperion subfolder of Hyperion-main into MOD - EoFS doesn't work. Downloaded Hyperion 1.4 and copied it into MOD (creating folder Hyp14) - EoFSdoesn't work.
EoFS works with Nova and Emperor Wars.
Any idea what's wrong?

Thanks. This explains why Hyperion 1.4 doesn't work, but not the issue with Hyperion Lite.

A quote about Hyperion Lite (which is contained in the zip file) from the GitHub link above: "I've released a "lite" version in which there are no new units between the standard EFS V1.5 UNIT.DAT and the Hyperion Lite MOD. This MOD can be thought of as a "Hyperionized" version of the standard EFS V1.5 DAT files and is available to play now."
No big deal.
