For some reason, a lot of descriptive help texts are truncated because the font is too large. Is there some way to reduce the font size? Help?

It isn't truncated, the text will scroll, so you will be able to read full descriptions. There isn't much of such scrolling text in the game, most of the text is "fixed".
Game font is in-built, so you can't change it. You also can't extract it as font, as it is made from graphical files, too bad, because I actually liked its serif style.

Okay. When does it start scrolling, then?
Stays completely still for me. All the points in the menus have these descriptive texts that, at least for me, never get fully displayed.
PS: Turns out it was the "animation" setting, that I must have set without realising what it did.
Why would ... anyone ... use that? That option. Anyhow. Anyway. Thanks! <3
