Has anyone used a Servant as a regular party member? If so, is that character useful, and would you recommend one?

(One tip: Anything that affects healing spell effectiveness applies to Potions.)

I think all classes in this game are most likely useful. It's all about how *you* utilize a character, create a party and play to your own playstyle, strengths and advantages.

I haven't used a Servant yet, but I imagine they are good for brewing potions alone. There are some unique herbs I've found and I bet you can brew some pretty nice potions when you have the right ingredients.
