PB do it , DO IT ! if not PB than a mooder :)
The quests from talking to specific NPCs after completing the main quest makes me feel like there might be a character carry-over from Elex 1 to Elex 2 eventually. (It would be a first for PB but who knows)

New Game+ is an interesting idea. What would be carried over? Level, attributes, skills and items?
only level and attributes maybeeee items to but idk, quest items and unique should not carry over...

witcher 3 style new game plus...

if you start at lvl 50 for example new game plus, than weakest enemy in the game should have lvl 50 and rest of the enemyes higher lvl ofc.

And you can start a new game plus as many times you want after finish the game why not ?

Elex has no lvl limit but it lacks the quests and action after u finish everything.

Well, wouldn't that go against the whole point of any PB RPG with the main character starting out at the very bottom of the barrel/food chain and having to slowly but steadily work his way up to become the apex predator?
Even Bjorn Pankratz himself said something along those lines when he was asked if there's going to be a mode of this sort.

Can't we have at least one game and/or franchise that's not jumping on the band wagon like everyone else these days? One game and/or franchise that's not riddled with multiplayer functionality, DLCs, micro transactions, loot boxes, NG+, social media integration, photo mode, and all the other "modern" bullshit?

Since when NG+ is a modern bullshit?

If wikipedia is to be believed (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/New_Game_Plus), it is indeed not modern.

Chrono Trigger, The Legend of Zelda, Digital Devil Story: Megami Tensei, Ghosts 'n Goblins... those are QUITE old.

(I was sad they took the New Game+ mode out of the North American release of Enchanted Arms, actually.)
It'd still go against the core principle of "from zero to hero" as already pointed out.
A Piranha Bytes RPG where the player would be given the opportunity to start out as the Ubermensch being able to 2-shot anything right out of the gate wouldn't be a Piranha Bytes RPG anymore, now would it?

As things work I'm inclined to agree. The way stats and skills work, you're close to being as strong as you can be when you beat the game (unless you did some kind of speedrun or something, maybe on Easy mode).

Still thinking there might be some character carry-over to a potential Elex 2. We shall see.

What's the problem? You already played through the game once, you already know what it is to evolve "from zero to hero", so, in the next playthroughs, you could go straight for the quests and experience new choices without grinding for levels and gears.

Also, NG+ is always OPTIONAL. You can always start a NG if you don't want to go into a NG+.
hmm I see ppl did not understand what I meant...

Starting a new NG+ wont make your character powerfull from start. I already suggested that mobs should be much stronger in new game plus, so its like starting again "weak" and than getting more powerfull, the only difference is you can start with the build you wish, for example start from the beggining with plasma rifle and enough ammo, just a example....

Why you say its a against PB ideas ? They already did a shity move from the start, they gived copyes to most youtubers to start playing the game ahead, and they included OP weapons and items from the start for them.... am I the only one who didnt forgot that ?

In PB games, to experience new choices you'd generally just start a new game.

Stats determine practically everything. If you start with good stats, you just skip the beginning of the game. The vast majority of loot is not randomized so you could go find preset weapons and other equipment. You would be able to almost immediately optimize them and then you'd be right at endgame power level right from the start.

Plus, Elex Drinks make it so one endgame character could be completely maxed while one could be barely sufficient to beat the game.

I didn't know that, that does sound shitty.

But it is true it is definitely not how they've designed their games for the past 15 years.

Yep. PB games also have clunky combat and animations and terrible AI. But alas, why improve your game with more up to date solutions and add more options and incentive to replay the game? The horror.

I suppose it's better to cater to their fanbase of old farts who can't stand to any improvement to their new games. They should've kept the same graphics of the first Gothic as well. How dare they use such beautiful graphics?

I'm not saying New Game+ is never a good idea, I just don't see it working with Elex the way things are now.

That came across as a little hostile, not sure if that was intended.
