So lets say for example I take melee skill, and it says its improving with each lvl I take, does it matter at what lvl I take it ? if I take it at lvl 10 will I have lower dmg if I was taking more early at lvl 3 for example ? Does it improve each lvl or the description is BS ?

It does not increase with every character level. Instead you get a certain percentage bonus on the weapon damage. The first level (I think there are 3 in total) gives you +10%. So if you use a sword with damage 30, you make 30 + 10% = 33 damage. That percentage is btw also shown in the inventory when you equip a weapon. It remains constant, independent of your character level.

Please note that at the moment it appears that attributes have NO EFFECT other than for fulfilling requirements for skills and equipment. That means that strength has no effect on the damage at all!

Yea thats what I notice to, this should get patched we need that extra dmg specially on ultra difficulty...
The devs already stated that stat increases not affecting damage or mana is intentional and will not be patched according to several german game websites.
I can live with that, but they REALLY need to fix the attribute descriptions then.

Several other things are misleading or plain wrong as well. The talent that supposedly increases HP with each level only adds a flat +10 bonus, several skills are useless (like bookworm), others have annoying side effects (like haggle removing the cheap ammo types completely from vendor inventories since they would cost 0 Elexit).

The game could use a patch or five in some regards. The mechanics are rather obtuse, not because they're hard to understand or complicated, but because the descriptions on them don't mirror what they actually do.

So, if STR does not increase damage, is equipping a weapon with a higher damage rating the only way to increase damage?

I COMPLETELY agree. I'm actually having some fun working out enemy armor and hp through testing- but misleading and outright incorrect text is pushing it too far.

What I think happened in regards to Extra Hitpoints is that the skill has a generic "per level" bit in the text that gets added to just about every skill- but then they decided to only have one skill level, thus it ends up sounding like it refers to your character level instead. (This is why they need to make a distinction between skill level and character level.)

For melee damage:
Weapon Damage
Melee Attack skill (+10% Weapon Damage per skill level)
Berserker Spell: Aspect of the Warrior: +50% Weapon Damage

Are what I can think of off the top of my head.
