Greetings,
I am having a blast with Elex 2. It is a little over the top with the comedy relief and the voice actor changes will take some getting used to (lesson wasn't learned from the Diego fiasco and all new voice actors in Gothic 3.) There are a lot of homages to previous games, such as the Upper Quarter, Gothic 1 covers strewn about, and the Billy Idol concert reminds me of patching Gothic 1 to get the In Extremo concert. I am glad that P.B. sticks to a tried and true formula but also adjusts and adds things, such as more than the three factions.
But of course, like all games, there are bugs and I see we didn't get the patch yet, so I don;t know if these bugs are fixed in the 1.02 patch.
1.) Textures / objects/ models flickering in and out in the whatever it is called where the Morkons live.
2.) Random NPCs trying to walk through Jax and NPC during conversation and getting stuck and wigging out.
3.) Map was working when I exited the game last night. I loaded up my save and the center of the map is all pixelated when I zoom in all of the way. It is a large rectangle - the outer edges don't have this problem. I think that this happened once in Elex 1, but zooming in and out fixed it, but not this time.
4.) when talking with Falk for the first time, his "main" hairdo becomes transparent and it looks like it has slicked back hair underneath his actual hair.
5. Jax's arm sometimes wigs out.
6. Jax looked like a badass in Elex 1, but he looks depressed in Elex 2. As far as the major voice change, in my head canon, it is his real voice after years of Elex leaving his system (except for my 2nd Outlaw evil Jax playthrough where I had him chugging Elex drinks like a complete addict. I am happy to see that we can role play as evil Jax in Elex 2 as well - being able to call Thialg an idiot is funny.)
7. I miss the interactive adjutor where Jax held up his arm and the menu screens animated like a holographic screen.
There may be more, but I'm not upset or anything, as bugs and questionable changes happen. I hope that the devs read this forum. Anyhow, I'm jumping back in the game because I love it.
