OK,a frame-rate limiting setting can be found in Elex II\System\system.ini...it is set to 30 fps, but, alas, it does nothing whatsoever when set to 60 fps or above, unfortunately. It's as I thought--the game engine itself is built on a 30 fps limit. The good thing is that for me, anyway, it is a very smooth and stutter-free 30 fps at 4k, which is certainly to be appreciated over a stuttering alternative...;)

I'm bothered in the crater but other than that it's not noticeable. Thanks for the heads up!
There is a DX12 patch in test but only for Steam users. This may resolve the majority of the frame drops, according to some posts it is promising.
I just upgraded my cpu to a 5600x yesterday, but on the 3600 with a 5700 xt, the dx12 build increased overall frames by up to 100% and sometimes more, in places like the crater and fort.

Be patient, the dx12 patch WILL come here. The only thing steam has gog does not, is a beta build, because PB has a very small budget for this game and because the overwhelming majority of Elex 2 players are on steam.

I can tell you with 99.9% certainty the dx12 patch will fix your issues.

I got a 6900 XT finally, and now my frame rates range between 35 - 50 fps, at 4k, depending on the area of the game I'm in. Better than 30 fps or less, which is what I got with my former 6700 XT. Be nice to take a look at the D3d12 patch, once PB gets it through the beta testing at Steam.
Should be any day now.
