Is there any manuals or guides for Elex? I'm having trouble figuring this game out.

My map has almost no labels or markers. It makes it difficult to navigate and do quests. Is there any way to fix this?

Is there a good way to gain levels? Is there a good way to make money? It feels like its hard to make progress. I spend most of my time hunting and killing off the local wildlife.

Do herbs respawn? Do mines respawn?

Any else I should know?

*edit* mines don't respawn. I believe herbs may (not necessarily in the same spot), as it seemed I always found more plants after thinking I'd cleared an area.

The best way to gain a few levels at the beginning is by doing quests. You're too weak at first to take on monsters (with the exception of maybe some runt monsters). Grab a companion asap and go hunting with them, so you're not always targetted. Try to find an elevated spot to shoot from and use a ranged weapon. This will help also in getting some experience and levels.

For money: pick pocketing is a great way to get some cash so I'd suggest learning that quickly. Take everything that's not nailed down or too high to reach and sell the junk off. Skill up on animal parts (can't recall the exact name of the skill - Trophy Hunter?). It has three levels and each successive level gives you more parts to harvest from creatures.

Companions? Do you mean C.R.O.N.Y. U4? I've tried to get Duras, but he instead gave me a mission. As for U4, I know it went in for repairs, but I don't know where it is at.

I was wondering about mines because there is a skill for it. I don't want to waste skill levels if the mines are finite.

Anyway to see your stats? I want to know how much health I have.

Just look around on Google, concentrating on sites like GameFaqs, GamePressure.com, and even community Steam guides.

Since this is a European game,,most of the more detailed guides will probably be in German initially. The game's publisher forums likely have both German and English subforums, and some bilingual folks sharing info. But it's still new enough that there might not be any walkthroughs yet.
