Hi everyone! Hope y'all are having the best summer!

I've downloaded this game before, and I know for sure there was no such problem. The subtitles have always displayed on the screen for as long as it took a character to finish their speech. It's different now, and the subtitles only remain for about 2 seconds and then disappear. I've seen folks out there suggest installing an unofficial mode but I clearly remember this game build on GOG didn't require any external bug fixes to display the subtitles correctly. Perhaps there's something I can do to the config files to mend the issue? Any advice would be appreciated.
