I may be mistaken, but did Bethesda actually forgot to include Mehrunes Razor in the original game?
Why aren't there any statues for Mehrunes Dagon, (other Deadra statues are all around Cyrodiil)?

2006 Microtransactions?

The razor was added as a dlc for free during the holiday in 2006, until returning back to 2.99$.
