So is the game finially achievement free?

It did bother me a little on Steam, I felt I had to unlock everything before modding.
Mods blocked achievements and leaving them undone annoyed me.

I've read here that save files are working okay, so that's a plus.

Does the game come with an auto-updater or launcher?

You know, one of those things that auto updates before launch and you click 'Play'.
I don't have GoG Galaxy installed and prefer to update games by choice.

I also read this is a custom build and some mods from Nexus do not work.

Is this because the folders are in different locations?
Or are there deeper changes to the game files?

This may come way too late for you, but there are mods that enable achievements with mods.... :/
