Hi, my name is Brian, and I've come across something weird with my copies of ES Arena and ES Daggerfall. So I pressed on both of them and it tells me to connect to GOG. Which I am connected. When I press the "Connect Now" button it prompts me to insert a game code despite me already have bought both games. I go to my purchase history and it doesn't say I bought it. Yet I did! I can still play both games fine, but I'm new to GOG and I wanted to give both games to my friend as a gift. I'm just really confused. You can't buy either of them on GOG anymore either. I don't know what to do. Can anyone help?

Thanks. I appreciate it.

Technically, these two games were never buyable here; the only way to get them in your GOG library is to buy a Bethesda game from here, and those two games would then be added to your game library.

The best way to do what you want to do is to gift your friend some other Bethesda game on the site. Any Bethesda game will do, including Doom or Fallout (even classic Fallout), or perhaps Battlespire. Alternatively, Arena and Daggerfall are (or at least were at one time) available for free legally on Bethesda's website. (Of course, you should prefer gifting a game that your friend doesn't own on another platform and/or is actually interested in playing, though price could also be a consideration.)
Whatever happened, both games are free, and there are pre-configured DosBox versions (comparable with the GOG versions) available. Just search the internet for arenasetup and daggerfallsetup. In both cases you'll find links to the wiwiki.wiwiland.net sites with download links for the respective game (and additional configuration information, etc.).
If available, you can download other language (other than English) versions of the games, and DaggerfallSetup comes with additional mods, which you can choose to install or not (if I remember correctly).
Have fun!
