TL;DR It reads everything but the blockhead.dll and I've spent a good 3 hours trying to get it to work and looking for answers.
So, with some slight pessimism, anyone else willing to throw spaghetti against a wall and see if it works? or has a better face mod to use?

Hello to any who can be bothered,

Some of my frustration is showing.

I'm putting in mods, and I can tell that as long as i drop them in the Data file, it will pick it up. I have Oblivion Character Overhaul Version 2 in, yet i still have the INSTALL BLOCKHEAD error on the heads.

There are other .dll files and it reads those to the best of my poor observation skills. (like it reads the unofficial oblivion patch to.) For giggles i even put a copy of the blockhead.dll in each folder, i know, excessive, yet sometimes it seems necessary to make sure i just didn't put it in the wrong spot.

Any issues i look up, deal with the steam version of the game. So i tried to make some of that work. Such as, making sure GoG, Oblivion and all related files are running as admin, Messed around with the order a bit, but it seems the few mods i got don't really matter where they are. Tried reinstalling and even a reboot. From what I can tell, it won't make the .ini file. I decided to try and force that .ini by making a text and renaming it, but the computer was smarter :P

So sorry if i come off a bit crass just getting annoyed cuz I was looking forward to playing with that mod for a few hours here, but i feel incompetent. I might just cut my losses and try out one of the other mods.

Are you starting the game with obse_loader.exe ?
and is it the GOG version of the obse_loader.exe ?

To my knowledge yes. The Game defaults to running the OBSE loader. I did try and run it outside of Galaxy, and .exe... i found the OBSE Loader exe... poped up with the Shift and Click thing to start ... although it didn't start... now that i think of it. . . . ah might be part of it. Just tried it out its OBMM...

OBSE_LOADER.exe errors out sayin' i got an unkown version of Oblivion and to contact someone about getting the latest version .... wait a minute...i didn't see that before... going to website..."use this for gog version"....move a few files....

ok... I was using OBMM... So, if i got this right I now need it in the right file...

No wonder it wasn't working, i wasn't doing it right. I might have to wait till i get some sleep, but at least I'm onto something.

OK, I tried that out. I deleted and redownloaded the 21 and loader, extracted the files, in order of the 21 file first then the loader, ran it, still with error. Tried Admin permissions on, still erroring... and gave it a reset...

So ... at the risk of being humbled. Where should i have the blockhead.dll at? Its in the data folder yes? or is it in the same path as the exe?

It goes in ...\Oblivion\Data\OBSE\Plugins
But it won't work until you get the script extender working.
When it is, your saved games will show .obse on the end

Ah, somewhere I'm missing that OBSE/Plugins folder
I got both the ones from nexus and the site, neither of them have the pathing of OBSE/Plugins. Closest i can get is OBSE /src/obse_plugin_example.

I'm guessing i just gotta rename it then?

I had to go in, make a folder OBSE/Plugins
Put the blockhead.dll in that... working now.
Thank you for your help. It means a lot.

My friend wants me to do a lets play with this mod. Since he is not PC master race, and can't stand the dough faces.
So yes, thanks again.

It will create the folders the first time you get obse_loader working.

If you have OBSE /src/obse_plugin_example. Then you didn't follow my instructions from the other thread.
All you needed from obse_0021.zip was two .dll's into your games root directory, obse_1_2_416.dll and obse_editor_1_2.dll

If your still getting the Unknown version of Oblivion message, then you are still using the steam version of the loader from obse_0021.zip.
