What do you mean by "crash"?
My advice is to keep your Oblivion installation as simple as possible:
- uninstall Oblivion COMPLETELY (including all mods, if you know how to do it, make sure there are no Oblivion entries left in the registry),
- download the non-Galaxy version of Oblivion and install it,
- run Oblivion without installing or activating anything anything else,
- if a "crash" happens, describe it with as much detail as possible.
And dont forget to add your PC configuration.
If there is no crash, keep playing, or install whatever you want to install, ideally one-by-one (helps spotting problem sources, if something goes wrong).
You might also search this forum for "oblivion crash" - the reason for your "crash" has probably been nentioned there already.
