Hey,

I am looking to play MW again and I'm interested in using the Overhaul, but I'd like to play the game as vanilla as possible. I want all the bug and performance fixes in the overhaul (the code patch etc) but I want the game graphically to look just like vanilla morrowind, with the exception of playing in 1920x1080. I don't mind anti-aliasing though.

Does anyone know how this is possible? IT seems like it's impossible to install the overhaul without also installing MGSO, and even if you choose all the "green/default" options it still changes the graphics substantially.

Any ideas?

For what you want, you only need to install the latest Code Patch and MGE XE. MGSO is basically old versions of those two plus a whole bunch of stuff to make it look non-vanilla so skip it.

What about the Morrowind Patch Project? As I understand it, it fixes bugs that the Code Patch doesn't (and visa versa).
EDIT: Also the Exe Optimizer.

The patch project is an updated unofficial patch (I still use the original v. 1.6.3) that fixes data problems like floating objects, dialogue, textures, etc. Worth having but it makes some gameplay changes that are in dispute. There is also a new one, patch for purists, which claims to update the original without these changes.

I don't use exe optimizer. I don't think it does much if you have an up to date game on a decent computer.

In complement to fragonard's answer, consider to use big fonts. I found the original font size too low for 1080p.

But, I think I'm having problem with the UI for the enchantment system as I cannot see the "OK" button except when selecting "Self" for the area effect.
