Morrowind used to work fine out of "the box" (read: straight from the installed file with nothing done to it) but now it refuses to start no matter what I do. Clean install, run as admin, run in XP compatibility mode, verified files, even installed some stability mods which I didn't even want to have to do, but nothing works. Open the launcher, hit play, and then it goes to a window which immediately stops responding. I've tried this on both Steam and GOG versions. I don't know what to do and it's driving me up the wall.

I fixed it. For some reason my GPU was displayed twice in the options. Changing it to the other one, which is the same one, helped. I don't understand it, but I accept it. Whatever works.
