I just downloaded Morrowind and I can't start the game, I get insert disc error. I have lowered my security level as recommended by GOG and I run the program as administrator; but I can't get rid of the error. How can I play the game? How can I get support from GOG. I click on the topic support and I get into a loop that just refreshed the topic page. I have played Morrowind since it first came out; and my CD disc wouldn't play anymore. That is why I downloaded the program
Not sure how to fix, but did you have the CD version installed previously, before you installed the Gog version? I'm wondering if some registry entries are confused and the game thinks you still have the CD version installed somehow.

You might be able to fix it by opening regedit and clearing out the old registry entries, but if you've never done this before ask for some advice first because it's possible to break your system doing this.
My old computer crashed Monday and I bought a new one that day. I had all the files from my old computer transferred into my new computer and yes, they transferred some old Morrowind files into my new computer. I found the reference, deleted it everything is working fine now. Thanks for the support
