So I ran Galaxy and it installed an update for Skyrim SSE. The patch notes are unavailable, and the update version is 0.0.3895161 (as opposed to the actual latest version 1.6.659.0.8). What is this update about?

The latest SSE\ AE update on Steam introduced paid mods to the game, but the GOG version cut out the in-game store\ browser functionality (so no CC\ paid mods here). But if the GOG version doesn't have paid mods, what does the 0.0.3xxx update bring? Just the few engine fixes that came with the paid mods update?

I tried asking about it on the Skyrim reddit, but the everyone just downvoted me. -_-

The update is in line with the Steam version. You raise a good point regarding the mod bundles so I am not sure regarding this specifically. What I can tell you is that the update will give the same version number for Steam which will cause more problems than it ordinarily would for SKSE mods. The Silverlock team are waiting for GOG to make a patch before they themselves update for the GOG version. If this affects you, its best to revert to the previous version for the time being. On the plus side if you mod, the range of mods which can be eslified will be expanded in the latest update.

Redditors are wierd.

Galaxy is showing me another update, only the version is all weird again - 0.1.3905696, and it says 18 days ago. So whether this is the update we've been waiting for I don't know
The new update despite its funny number in Galaxy is the new version 1179 of SkyrimSE that means that the SKSE64 developers are now writing the matching version of SKSE. The address library to accompany SKSE is already updated for 1179 and can be installed in advance as it also supports the older versions.

SKSE64 for GOG version 1179 is out, but it is throwing a windows anti virus warning, I double checked with malwarebytes which said no problem so I don't know what is going on there. Although address library skse dll mods seem to work; I will need updates for To Your face, JContainers, SimplyKnock Dyndolod and Fuz Ro Doh since on startup the skse_loader complains about about these dlls. For the time being I am stciking with 1.6.659

Can confirm SKSE is updated, and it is now safe to download the GOG update. Hopefully this is the last time any updates are pushed on the GOG version.

The 2.2.6 version isn't working for me. It works for you?
