When I went there they said I could sleep in any bed. When I did, it was reported as a crime. What's going on? Oh sorry, Morrowind.

I guess the bed was owned by someone. This is possible even when they say you can sleep in any bed - one or several of the beds may still be owned at the time. Unfortunately, I don't know if and how you can find out whether or not a bed is owned. You could save before using a bed.

Morrowind Code Patch has a good edit that adds "Owned" or "Faction Owned" to every single item, which helps with figuring out if it's safe to accidentally hit Spacebar without having to reload the game.
Highly recommend, even if it breaks immersion, it certainly cuts down on unnecessary backtracking.

I added it. That helps. Now if I could just find Julan at Ghostgate......

I know he's supposed to be there, but I have yet to find him. I already got the money from the guy that said look for him.
Ugh. When I first got to Ghostgate there was a Dadera fighting the guards but he was under the floor (glitch I guess), so I helped the guards kill it. I'm guessing Julan is under the stone floor also and I cannot see him. Heck I might have hit him too...
Do you think if I uncheck this mod on the Nexus mod manager and later after playing a while put it back on as checked it might reload him? I don't have a good save game far back because of the trouble I had with Tamerial Rebuilt..

You could always TCL, find him underground, get him to follow you, and then turn off TCL. Hit tilde for the console.

Toggle clipping, it's a console command that let's you and NPCs walk through walls. It's helpful for when idiot NPC's get stuck in walls, or you need to walk past someone blocking your way and don't have the patience to wait.

Eh, how do I do it on my computer? What keys? Sorry I'm new at this.

Edit. I figured it out and found him with TCL and TWL. I spoke to him but it said I was too far in the main quest for this mod.....Why would they even have a time frame? I also added jasmine and the other one the thief girl. Wonder if I will get the same thing from them. Thanks for your help, learn something new everyday.

The power of the tilde key! Shame about the advancement on the main quest, I read on the mod description that it is dependent on your progress in the main story, did not realize that it was that closely linked. I could never get into companion mods because of the awful pathfinding in the TES series. Uvirith's Legacy has some great companions, but it's a damned pain to half to stop what I'm doing and try to make sure they are following appropriately.

From the mod description:
"This is a Main Quest Companion Mod. It is NOT playable by characters who are past the Vivec Informants point in the main quest, and will be best used by characters who haven't touched the Main Quest at all yet. Part of what I wanted to do with this was to inject a new perspective and interest in the Main Quest for seasoned Morrowind veterans! It is playable by fairly low-level characters as a result - all that is required is the ability to reach Ghostgate and beat up three high HP Clannfears.

This mod relies on the Main Quest! Thus, it will of course be incompatible with any mod that alters the Main Quest in a significant manner, e.g.

- any "Instant Nerevarine" mod
- Blake's Nerevar Say Nerevar
- Princess Stomper's Ghostgate.

It also conflicts with:

Mountainous Red Mountain
Guarded Ghostgate
Armingers[sic] at Ghostgate."

Alternatively, if you would rather not outright cheat, you could use the super potion exploit to raise your Speed really high (a few thousand should do the trick IIRC). (Basically, make Fortify Intelligence/Luck potions and drink them so you can make even stronger potions, then once one of those stats is high enough, make some powerful Fortify Speed potions.) Note that doing this *will* make it hard to control, but will allow you to go so fast that the collision detection fails to prevent you from going through walls.

To get your speed back to normal quickly, you can use Drain Speed spells on yourself; as long as your Speed is above its normal value, you won't get the Speed back when the effect wears off (assuming you haven't installed the MCP option that changes this behavior). Once your Speed gets below its normal value, you can use Restore Speed effects to restore it to normal (I recommend making the spell in advance).

Getting a companion to go through walls is more difficult, but you can use what's known as the Soul Trap exploit; create a spell with two ranged effects, one of which is Fortify Speed on an area, the other doesn't matter (I recommend something harmless) but should not be in an area. If you hit anything with the Fortify Speed effect but the other effect hits nothing, the effect is permanent (until damaged or drained, as it doesn't change the base value).

It's not really "cheating" if you're using it to fix a known bug in the game. The game doesn't have achievements, so there's no penalty for guiding someone out of empty space.

Cheating is using TCL to fly above a monster when your hit points are low.
