I have a problem with skyrim gog. with and without mods. When I start the game I'm in the carriage bound on my way to get my head chopped off. problem is.. I'm sitting in the carriage chair clipping and I can't see any npc's. The horses are moving with the carriages empty.. I get the gates and its locked with one guard frozen no dialog only horses trying to run to its destination bumping the damn gate.. Can't seem to get around this bug. I've reinstalled the game and its back. deleted the doc files.as well. dunno what broke? I'm open for suggestions?

Need a full posting of your computer's spec, OS, a screencap of memory usage and if you tried plain vanilla Skyrim with no mod manager.

It sounds like he needs to run FNIS or Nemesis if he's running with mods.
You shouldn't have to load "100 mods" to get the game into a playable state.

I've also experienced bugs in the GOG version, which was why I ultimately refunded it and got it on Xbox instead. Just because you don't see it, doesn't mean it doesn't happen.

Some of us do like playing the vanilla version, you know.
The vanilla version is more then playable but people spreading FUD do not want that known.
Thanks for the response. When I first install Skyrim AE gog it worked before using mods. Using Vortex and then 400 plus mods it broke somewhere. I uninstalled and then reinstalled the game. No mods and later using my own selection of just graphic mods it still caused the bug. Since then I've installed the Steam Skyrim AE and all the mods work accordingly and no bugs game works. This isn't my first rodeo. I'm just wondering if some of you have an idea what may have cause the game to break even after a clean install? left over hidden files? Something in the registration?

My system is Asus Rog strix Advantage "Upgraded",
AMD Ryzen 9 5900HX
32Gigs Corsair Vengeance 3200MHz DDR4
AMD ATI Radeon RX 6800M 12Gigz GDDR6
Wifi Intel AX210 6E 5/6GHzs
Lan, Realtek PCIe GBE family controller
Windows 11 64bit

latest drivers firmware and bios.

thanks,

I am guessing you already 'googled' how to completely remove skyrim? It appears 'zombie' mods messing up even after a reinstall like you wrote happened in previous skyrim releases as well.

Have you already tried the usual solutions like using something like CClean to remove and all mod managers or deleting every skyrim & mod manager file and folder in your system?

I have cclean yes. and I do use it from time to time to clean up some registry garbage that gathers over time. ATM I'm using steam skyrim AE till I figure out and have more time to tinker with the mods for gog. Might be some mod compatibility issue with gog skyrim. which one dunno yet.. alot of work to trial and error it and hope I don't break it again.

I'll install the gog version in a new directory to maybe fix the "zombie mod" Crossing fingers

If it is a zombie mod its likely lurking in the boot drive or in a registry setting. To get skyrim to its previous working condition you might need to delete every skyrim file and folder plus in the registry.
Of course having the drm version makes that rather difficult.

BTW were you using SKSE mods with the GoG edition?

Yes I was using SKSE for GOG I even had it working before I started adding the mods. For now I'll play using steam version till I find the time to work with the gog version. Too much work hours in RL to get into the mood to edit mods. ;P..

Thanks.

No, there is an easier way to remove that zombie mod. I tested it thoroughly and it worked well for me.

Just go where that mod is lurking and use the Turn Undead spell. That should solve the issue.
If the mod is a larger file, you might need to use the Repel Undead spell instead.

I hope that helps.
Those only on low level zombies, the one Wolfie has is a Master Zombie.
