To my knowledge, the best source of information for everything around The Elder Scrolls is the UESP wiki www.uesp.net.
It informs about the Elder Scrolls world, provides help if you get stuck, explains the differences between the Elder Scrolls games beyond graphics and quest markers, it contains technical help, has extensive mod lists (I'm not sure that all of them are still available on the internet), etc.
I'm not saying you do yourself a favour if you use it - it may be more interesting and rewarding to find things out yourself (and it's not so difficult after all) - but it's there should you feel you need it.
I myself use it mainly as a mod information and link repository (a reminder), and as an information source if I want to understand what the real, the role-playing differences between the Elder scrolls games are (what goes on "under the hood", so-to-speak) - and why Morrowind is still my favourite, followed by Daggerfall (second only because of the modular 3D dungeon system, RPG- and story-wise it's superior).
