Im having the hardest time looting bodies in Daggerfall. I've tried using the mouse look to center the body. I've tried squating, but the loot command only works like 1% of the time. I've tried setting my INTERACT mode to both GRAB and PILFER. I've tried clicking, I've tried Space bar what am I missing?

I've played Daggerfall and had some trouble with the controls too.
Try to center the screen on the corpse, via mouse and simply click on it.

This worked for me, if the problem persists than maybe you need to uninstall the game and try again

Try looking up and down. Default keys: Ins, Del, and Pos1 / Home for going back to horizontal. You'll need this in many fights, too (for example, rats down, bats up).

Hit escape to go to the main menu, then click on the Controls option.

Set the keys to WASD; set the mouse to view; play using modern controls. :)
