Bought TES 5: Skyrim SE+Anniversary update 2 days ago.
Tried to install it in Russian language. After the whole installation (SE, An.upd. and saves backups from the Extras) I tried to enjoy my game. Once I start it runs in English language (launcher is in Russian), has no pictures, only 'new game', 'load', 'credits' and 'quit', and when I click 'new game' it crashes.
I have tried all methods that might be on GOG support page and in GOG forum (reinstallation, verification, BinkVideoCodec, different compatibility ect). Even wrote to support but the only thing bot could tell me after all info - that he failed to create a pass.
And for the last hour I can not even start my game with Play button in GOG.
Nothing helps…
I am so upset ;(
Hope You can help me

p.s. all sys requirements are OK

Just out of curiosity, did you deleted Skyrim - Voices_en0.bsa or any other localization files using this method of freeing up space in your Skyrim installation folder?

In any way, I suggest you look up in those paths if nothing else works:

Path 1:

0) Go to \Documents\MyGames\Skyrim Special Edition GOG\

1) Rename your Skyrim.ini and SkyrimPrefs.ini to Skyrim.ini.BAK and SkyrimPrefs.ini.BAK

2) Relaunch your game through 'SkyrimSELauncher.exe' in your installation folder - that should create new ini files that might have wronged configurations

3) Check if it did created new ini files at \Documents\MyGames\Skyrim Special Edition GOG\

4) If yes, start the game and test it.

Path 2:

0) Go to \Users\%YourUserName%\AppData\Local\

1) Are there two folders with the names "Skyrim Special Edition\" and/or "Skyrim Special Edition GOG\" ?

2) If yes, open both and check if there any configuration files (.ini or .txt) inside them

3) If yes, rename them the same way with ".BAK" at the end

4) Open your game through the launcher the same way as first try and check if it's working

Hi, thanks for a few different solutions, but unfortunately none of them helped. And no, I did not delete those SkyrimVoice files, so the language should have been fine.
And, IDk why, but in 2nd solution I had both folders empty, so none txt or ini files

Hm... :(
Sad that none of my ideas could help you mate. Im sorry. :(
I have no more ideas on how to solve this problem.

Maybe you can find help contacting support through a ticket or waiting for someone else to give ideas.
Found the key to my problem over a few months (since I did not have much time bc of exams).
So...

The problem was in my old notebook (NB) and Cloud, which combined all my files from NB and my new PC.
Almost 8 yrs ago I downloaded a cracked version of Skyrim to my NB. And after a few years, I deleted them. Or as I thought.
Cracked files remained somewhere in my old NB and got into Cloud and after getting a PC those files automatically got into it.
After cleaning my NB from all files from all opened and closed folders PC left me to download Skyrim again and finally, I got all my language settings and other things.
So, hurray :D
