Thanks - I was asking because the store page doesn't mention this (free) DLC.

Yep you're right, it's a bit surprising !
They mentioned it on the release announce though : https://www.gog.com/forum/general/release_egypt_old_kingdom_7468b
"Egypt: Old Kingdom is now available DRM-free on GOG.COM, 40% off until November 13th, 2pm UTC. The free DLC Master of History is included in this release."

I can confirm sanbox mode for Linux version 2.0.2J
but
Checked in Windows downloaded by GOG Galaxy : version 2.0.2L does not seem to have any option to start sandbox

Strange, because I've installed (and have played) the windows offline installer, and I can create sandbox game without trouble. And I can select the "Alien domination" or "Mummypocalypse" without issue too, which confirms that the free DLC is included.

Maybe something went wrong with your installation ? Or there is a bug with Galaxy's version ? in this case you should maybe contact support ?

DLC doesn't seem to be included in a fresh purchase and galaxy installation. No references to sandbox, just "play" with game difficulty options.
On main scren under main game menu you have version 2.0.2l (lowercase L) for Windows or 2.0.2j in Linux.
I attached screenshot from Windows version.
Check your version, please.

Now, standalone download for Windows (and OSX) is in version 2.0.2L the same as GOG Galaxy

It's 2.0.2l in game, and 2.0.2L according to galaxy client. Windows to clarify.

The DLC for Windows and Mac is now available separately in the store:
https://www.gog.com/game/egypt_old_kingdom_master_of_history
The Linux version of the game has the DLC integrated.
We apologize for the confusion and inconvenience.

Now it's me who is totally lost... I installed the DLC, but I don't see what are the changes compared to my previous "version" ?
Should I see a new option in game menu ?

DLC adds "Rules of your world" options, and allows continue playing after victory.
Look at your screenshot attachement "sandbox.jpg". You arleady have DLC.

It was only temporary problem solved by GOG Team support.
