I'm experiencing an issue where trying to play the full-screen version of the game just shows a white screen. The music plays on the background but I have no visuals.
It's worth mentioning that the game runs and displays fine while windowed.

I'd rather play full screen so I was wondering if anyone is experiencing this issue? From what I understand, it's a recent issue related to the Java version.
Also, I'm running it under Windows 7.

Thanks for reading.
I've got it too, with Windows 10 and java 8.
Same problem (Windows7).

Anyone found a solution except installing the old Java version?
Same problem (Windows7, 64bit) here.
Same here (Windows 10, 64bit)
I had the same problem on my Windows 10 laptop. However, now on my new computer it works. I realized there was no Java installed at all when I bought it; then Java was installed during the Edna installation. Obviously Java is not needed to run a computer at all. So maybe when that white screen problem appears, why not uninstall ALL Java versions which are installed on the computer (instead of just trying to up- or downgrade) and then install Edna again?
I had the same problem (Windows 7) and installing an old Java version posted in the German Daeadalic forum fixed the problem for me. Unfortunately I can’t post any links right now, but feel free to google edna harvey weißer Bildschirm im vollbild modus, it should be the first entry and you find the link in the penultimate post on the 2nd page.

Don’t forget to uninstall all old Java versions but then it should work just fine!
I have the same problem with Windows 8.1.

The game installer automatically installed Java for me.

The game does work for me in windowed mode.
Hi,
had the same problem on Windows 10.
What did it for me was to plug my monitors into the video output of the CPU instead of the GPU. I think it's a problem with the OpenGL library they used and my ATI graphics card/drivers. Another option would be to run Windows XP on a Virtual Machine.
I have the same problem. Tried different java versions but I have still this problem. I installed the game via galaxy and galaxy installed java version 7 update 40 (64Bit).

I dont know if it would help you, but i had exactly the same problem. I noticed also that along with the game installation was a java update install, i agreed and installed, so i thougth that wasnt the issue, i mean, it looked like java was updated for the videogame. And then i had all the problems you mention. So just in case i remove from control panel the java update that came with the game, made sure no other java version was installed, went to the java website, downloaded the most recent installer, installed and it works. I have an issue with the sound (ocasional cracks) but i think thats another kind of problem.
