Got a problem when I try to drink the coffee in the bar (in Lillis' mind, the second visit when you are trying to break the 'Not go to dangerous places' control).

I can switch back to the real world in the Sheriffs office but as soon as I try to step outside, Harvey tells me it's dangerous, so back into Lillis mind I go. Walk to the Saloon bar, talk to the barman (having already contacted Miranya via lying and pryomancy) and then try to drink the coffee.

The cut-scene plays where Lilli is coming out of the trance and then it just dies. Don't even get any error message.

Anyone else having the same problem or found a patch/workaround? I'd really like to finish this game, it's fun but a bit easy...
Just realised - I'm running Vista 32bit, have above minimum specs and have checked hardware and OS structures, all seem fine.

Also, I have tried to install the German v1.1 patch (changing the destination folder to the correct one) and it does not install with the GOG.com version.
Okay, solved it (kind of). The intel Graphics Media Mobile driver on my laptop had updated in the background. It still let me get past that part of the game (it had a similar problem with a transition from the sewer into the Asylum) but it was very hit and miss.

Rolling back the driver helped with the problem and I did get past the game - but it was still a bit hit and miss on map transitions.
Run the program as an adminstrator. It fixed it for my brother.

I always run in admin. The issue was a mixture of a glitch with the child map programming which usually is bypassed by having a constant teleport trigger to allow a transition from one map to another. The trigger was very hit and miss in several areas of this game, probably when the intel and java conflict - something that doesn't happen on the media it was originally intended for (tablet pc).

On a higher end machine the only way to ensure it works is to make sure everything is updated (especially Java) and keep on trying - as the trigger is so loose of a weave, it *will* click and allow the transition, but not always. Another point in the game that has the same issue of buggy programming of map transition points is the ladder in the sewer - same solution.

Should also add, have now completed this on both the Vista laptop and on my 7 64bit gaming PC. Had similar issues on both of them.

I had the same Issue running on Windows 8 64bit with an NVidia 620, running as administrator got me past this issue. thank
