gog, if you are going to realease vns or any other japanese game, give your consumers the uncensored version. if the uncensored version has porn, atleast STATE THAT on the store page and give people the option to play completley uncensored when installing.

There is no official patch, your only option is to refund the game and buy the still mosaic censored but uncut version here. You should definitely refund it and tell them censoreship as the reason.

Even if GOG wanted to provide the adult version, they cannot, because they would lose PayPal as the payment processor and that would be a massive hit to the GOG userbase.
And frankly, you are not missing much by playing the standard version.
In JP Mosaic +expansion was only ever sold as a patch to pander to those who wanted a bit of sexy time with the characters of the game. It was MangaGamer's decision to sell two different standalone versions, rather than sell the expansion as a patch.

The All-Ages version is the original, 17+ according to the website. +Mosaic changes some of the visuals to make it 18+. The official website has some comparison shots.

I don't see the point in selling censored games when you can easily buy/pirate the uncensored version elsewhere. it's bad business and I will not be buying anymore vns from gog or mangagamer. especially mangagamer.

The version sold on GoG is not censored. It's the original version of the game. When the VN was released in Japan, adult content was only offered as an add-on.

"eden* was originally released as an all ages title. No content has been cut from the original version. PLUS+MOSAIC was offered as something akin to an expansion pack, containing bonus erotic scenarios and adding blood to certain scenes of violence. The only changes PLUS+MOSAIC makes to the main scenario involve the visual depiction of some violent scenes (the text remains identical) and the addition of some partial nudity. The erotic scenarios are not presented as part of the main game in PLUS+MOSAIC, but as a bonus accessed from the main menu."

Personally, I would also prefer to get the adult version of the VN. But I understand that this may create problems with payment processors, quite a few of them refuse to offer services to businesses that deal with 18+ goods/content. And in this particular case, additions are not that significant or important.

Your post is seriously ignorant. First, the version sold on GoG is not censored. Go check vndb if you don't believe that the game was originally all ages. And standalone adult version was never released in Japan, they only offered add-on pack.
Second, Mangagamer is the best English language VN publisher when it comes to releasing uncut versions. They offer full/uncensored versions for each game they translate. They can't sell it here due to logistical and legal reasons, it's not a voluntary choice.

It's just ridiculous to hate Mangagamer for this when they are the only English VN publisher who consistently offers uncut versions for their translations. If you want to hate someone for releasing censored versions, then you should at least do proper research first.

you're right that this game seems like a special case.
But I'm afraid real censorship wll arrive soon with other games, since GOG will only provide all-ages versions of games which origianlly weren't so, unlike eden*

The vn itself is so good! I couldn't stop. 17 hours yesterday (short dinner break).

The four + Mosaic episodes are about 1:15 each and quite cute.Of course, they are Japan-censored. Dicks are featureless transparent, and vag's are block-pixeled. But the story quality is very nice anyway. Especially the one with Sion

Avoid watching the plus episodes before having watched the main novel. They heavily rely on knowledge about the main vn!
