We will see EWJ1 and 2 on GOG?

Hamtarotaro: We will see EWJ1 and 2 on GOG?

Since GOG is working with Interplay you'd figure we would, right?
But there have been adaptations of EWJ1/2 running on reworked engines available online for some time, free for download and playable on the PC. I'm not sure if they're not far gone into abandonwareville

I had a copy of the first one (I think) for the PC, it was brilliant and more fun than the 3D ones but I can't find it anywhere, it would be great if they came out on GOG.
Well, it does say Earthworm Jim Series.

Got any links to those free downloads?
EWJ was the first game I ever bought.
I remember I had the 'special edition' of Earthworm Jim 1 for the PC which had like extended levels and a bonus level, it was awesome. Hope they put that up on the site some time
1 and 2 are on Gametap, so there should be little reason why they wouldn't be released on here eventually. Very odd to lead with EWJ3D though, considering how it is the worst of the bunch.
Though it seems Gametap uses the Genesis versions of them, so maybe there is some murky legalites surrounding the PC versions?

I would love to see the other ones as well. I also heard they will be making a new one.
Man, I used to play Earthworm Jim religiously...I remember when I got Earthworm Jim for the Nintendo 64 on my birthday...man was that awesome. :]
I haven't tried my copy of EWJ1 in Vista x64 yet, can't recall if it's a 16-bit installer. If it is then having it on GOG would be a damn good thing. I don't have EWJ2, so I'd gladly welcome that one.
Activision put out an Earthworm Jim 1 enhanced Win95 port of the Sega Mega Drive CD version (I still have it somewhere). It'd be great if GOG.com released that, in addition to Interplay's DOS version of EWJ2.
From wikipedia:-
A special edition of the game was released for the Sega Mega-CD which features a Red Book audio soundtrack, improved graphics and expanded levels [1], and an even further enhanced version with redrawn, 256 colour graphics and an Earthworm Jim desktop theme, as well as all the Mega-CD improvements, was released for Microsoft Windows 95.

I'd rather not since the legality might be murky. They're easy enough to find, tho'.

Wouldn't Gametap having them be a pretty good reason for them not to be released here eventually? I can't imagine the digital download competitors gladly sharing games, though it's up to the publisher in the end.

I have it too. It does not install, it runs straight from the disk.

Well gametaps future is murky, as they are being sold. Also Fallout is on gametap, so it's not out of the question.
