I can't help but think that something went wrong when packaging the soundtracks. Almost every track is looped three times, inflating the files (both in size and duration). Was it deliberate? Is there somewhere a copy of the soundtrack with just one loop?

Hearing the same three track in a row on my iPod is rather jarring (especially when I'm using both of my hands and can't change it manually).

I hope GOG can provide an answer.

I guess the tracks were "ripped" directly from the official soundtrack. Notice that both packs have a runtime of around 1 hour like a normal audio CD.
It seems to be common practice among game soundtracks to loop each track at least once, going by the others I have here. It's done mostly to fill the discs, but not always...

It was ripped from the original game CD (the game used Redbook audio). It was done so that the game wouldn't have to load the track that often (because doing so interrupted the game for a second).
